Upcycled Collective

Upcycled Collective™ is a curated designer program dedicated to advancing upcycled and sustainable fashion as a powerful form of creative expression, cultural storytelling, and climate action. Developed by the Sizzle Arts Foundation, the Collective brings together emerging and established designers who are committed to reimagining fashion through reuse, reconstruction, and circular design practices.

Designers participating in the Upcycled Collective™ create original garments using reclaimed, repurposed, or existing materials. Each participant contributes an upcycled design that is presented as part of Upcycle Fashion Week programming and select showcases aligned with New York Fashion Week. These presentations position upcycled fashion on a global stage, demonstrating that sustainability and high design can coexist at the highest levels of the industry.

Beyond the runway, the Upcycled Collective™ emphasizes collaboration over competition. Designers engage in shared learning, creative exchange, and dialogue around environmental responsibility, cultural identity, and ethical production. The program encourages designers to use fashion as a medium for storytelling—highlighting heritage, community narratives, and the environmental realities shaping our world.

By uniting individual designers into a collective platform, the program amplifies impact while building confidence, visibility, and professional growth. Upcycled Collective™ reinforces the role of designers as cultural contributors and environmental stewards, using creativity to raise climate awareness and inspire more responsible approaches to fashion.

Who It’s For
